About the Course

Developed in partnership with NAR’s REALTOR® Safety program, this overview is an essential primer on how real estate professionals can limit risk, preserve safety and facilitate positive business outcomes.
You'll learn ways to assess risk in your current practice and create safety systems, scripts, and tools for listing appointments, showing property and conducting open houses. Protection of personal and electronic information online, in the cloud and on social networks are also included in the course content.

This course is approved by Washington DOL for 3 continuing education "clock hours".

    This seminar is designed to cut through the misinformation and hype to inform you, the aware citizen, about the realities of Active Shooter incidents, what it means, what it means for your community, what you can do to be part of the solution, how to avoid being part of the problem, and really, “What is the actual risk of this happening here?”

    We will cover:

  • Psychological Aspects of Active Shooters
  • Brief history of Active Shooter events
  • Types of Targets
  • What to look for
  • What can you do beyond “Run, Hide, Fight”
  • How to deal with Law Enforcement during and after

Larry is an experienced security and disaster planning specialist, as well as a certified security professional with extensive experience in security concerns and training. Larry Good is a FEMA certified Basic Instuctor, Homeland Security certified law enforcement instructor, pepper spray and firearms instructor, and USAF veteran with 5 years of combined experience on the combat zones of Iraq and Afghanistan.
